The AOP Journalism Advisory Board (JAB) was created with the support of Google to build awareness of the key issues facing journalism & editorial and to support journalists in the UK with their most pressing challenges, as well as any potential opportunities.

- Gov Kickstart scheme - paid work experience and training, accessible to those all over the country
- Headlines – mental health sessions for Journalists
- Journalism Diversity Fund - exists to work with publishers to help train people from diverse backgrounds
- LGBTQ+ Journalism Network - a supportive community and network for people who identify as LGBTQ+ and work in, or are studying, journalism in the UK
