Trading 212 Launches Metro Explains Investing Video Series

Published: 07 Nov 2025

Partnership with Metro educates viewers on investment options

6 November 2025: Trading 212, which democratises access to financial markets via free web apps, has launched a new video series in partnership with Metro.

Metro Explains Investing is a monthly social video series that engages, educates and informs Metro’s audience on key investment topics.

Created as a Metro Originals format and an addition to the popular Metro Explains… social video series, Metro Explains Investing forms part of Trading 212’s broader Investing Made Simple campaign, currently running across a number of Mail Metro Media titles.

In conjunction with the video series, Metro has also launched a dedicated Investing channel on Metro.co.uk, also sponsored by Trading 212. A dedicated editorial lead ensures that Metro’s audience is informed and empowered to grow their money.

Metro Explains Investing invites Metro readers to submit their own investment questions, providing clear and accessible information to help viewers begin to build their financial portfolios.

The responses will shape content online for the new investment channel, as well as running within print in a 360-degree approach to Metro’s 20m-strong monthly audience.

Natasha Acquisto, Head of Innovation and Partnerships, Metro, said: “Our Metro Explains format reaches over 10m followers across our main accounts and has become a go-to destination for breaking down science, tech, trends – and now investing!
Delivering over 10bn TikTok views since the beginning of 2025 and an engagement rate over double the industry benchmark, Metro Explains…is the ideal platform to educate Gen Z and millennial audiences on how to make their money work harder.”

Metro Explains Investing capitalises on the Metro audience’s deep engagement with financial matters. Half of the Metro audience expects to increase the amount allocated to investments in the next year[1], while newspapers and their websites remain their most trusted channel for education about financial matters.

Running across social channels including TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, Metro Explains… leverages the title’s established and credible tone of voice among users, while also being fronted by the title’s in-house content creators who educate, inform and inspire readers on a range of topics, from a deeply trusted source.

The partnership with Metro is the latest in a series of Investing Made Simple activations for Trading 212 across key financial environments within Mail Metro Media titles. This includes takeovers with This is Money, sponsorship of investing guides, a fixed tenancy on the Daily Mail’s stocks and shares page, full sponsorship of the inews money channel, and timed takeovers within the Daily Mail app.

Angel Milachkov, Head of Growth, Trading 212, said: “Our collaboration with Mail Metro Media reflects Trading 212’s commitment to reaching customers in environments they know and trust. Mail Metro Media’s powerful audience data and creative storytelling help us communicate our message with precision and impact--strengthening our brand presence and driving measurable results.”
