Immediate Media Co's olive magazine innovation gives readers instant access to tailored video content

Published: 10 Mar 2023

OLIVE MAGAZINE’S MARCH ISSUE REDESIGN INCLUDES ENRICHED KEY FEATURES OFFERING READERS THE CHANCE TO SEAMLESSLY ACCESS BESPOKE VIDEOS

The March issue of olive magazine’s showcases an innovative redesign including the launch of fully interactive videos embedded into feature pages accessible via QR codes. The new design is introduced with streamlined interactive elements offering seamless clips for readers to further explore the venues and topics featured, alongside seasonal spring food ideas and a showstopper cover of an exclusive pink grapefruit cheesecake tart recipe.

The new look offers a cleaner design, new fonts, a fresh colour palette, and scannable QR codes that enable readers to discover more about the restaurants, homes and people that are featured in the magazine.

olive's Editor in Chief, Christine Hayes, adds: ‘olive magazine’s new look gives the magazine an edge on newsstands and the integration of QR codes allows readers to scan a code with their smartphone and access video content. The cleaner look and integration of video content provides an opportunity to grow our audience of passionate foodies’.

olive's Creative Director, Ben Curtis adds ‘We've been looking at new and interactive ways to simplify the reader's experience - the fresher look and integration of QR codes does just that. Stand-out fonts, and creating bespoke videos for our print content gives added value and allows them to immerse themselves in the restaurant or person we’re writing about’.

The new issue also introduces the launch of olive’s ‘Love Your Local’ campaign to celebrate the very best pubs across the country. Over the coming months, olive will highlight their favourites in the magazine, on social and in the olive podcast.

The new-look and interactive olive magazine is on sale now, priced at £5.99.
