In under three years, William Reed’s Digital Commercial Strategy Manager, Bethany Walker, went from graduate to revenue catalyst: £1.1M in revenue enabled, 13.27 ROAS mastered, and 17k followers built - all through fearless self-learning and commercial instinct.

William Reed's Global Brands division operates in digital media and events under intensifying commercial pressure. When Bethany joined the team fresh out of university, she walked into a perfect storm: traditional B2B outbound was losing impact, costs were rising, and a brand-new website needed to grow from zero. Despite being early in her career, Bethany took the challenge head on, combining dedicated learning with smart execution to improve lead generation, PPC, and social performance.

Faced with poor-quality outbound leads, Bethany rebuilt the process from scratch, learning ABM strategies, collaborating with commercial directors on insight-driven data briefs, and creating automated workflows alerting sales to high-intent prospects with personalised content, something the team had never attempted before. This delivered a 75% revenue uplift, her leads enabling £980k in product and sponsorship revenue and 400+ high-quality prospects to sales.

Recognising agency PPC costs were prohibitive, Bethany self-taught Google Ads, earned certification, and built Global Brands' first in-house global PPC capability. Working with conference producers, she handled keyword research, ad testing, conversion tracking, and audience building, while creating an internal guide to embed the expertise. Bethany delivered 13.27 ROAS, £211k revenue from £15.9k spend, outperforming benchmarks and eliminating agency costs.

For the newly launched AgTechNavigator.com, Bethany spearheaded the social growth strategy. Having stated from zero followers, high-match targeting, benefit-led creative, responsibly sourced audiences, and predictive scaling delivered17,860 followers at £1.26 per follow on a £5,520 budget, overtaking competitors and establishing platform authority - all whilst supporting the organic growth strategy.

But here's what makes Bethany exceptional: she didn't stop at her own wins. She mentored new team members, led an AI-powered editorial-intelligence initiative, and participated in AI, sustainability, and cybersecurity programmes.

She hasn't simply contributed to growth. She's redefined what a junior marketer can achieve through hunger, self-belief, and driven learning.
