This web site is operated by AOP. AOP (the UK Association of Online Publishers) is a Limited company registered in England and limited by guarantee. The following terms apply to your use of the UK Association of Online Publishers (AOP) website (‘the Website’). By using the Website you acknowledge and agree that:

1. Copyright in the Website and all its content, including databases, is owned by AOP and its licensors. You are permitted to download and print content from the Website for your own personal use. The Website content must not be copied or reproduced, used or otherwise dealt with for any other reason. You are not entitled to modify or redistribute the content of the Website or reproduce it in any other Website without the express written permission of AOP. You are not entitled to use the content of the Website for commercial exploitation in any circumstances.

The inclusion of any link on the Website does not imply endorsement by AOP of the linked site. If you decide to access linked third party websites, you do so at your own risk.

10. Any user comments or other contributions you make to the site may be reviewed, edited and/or removed by AOP. AOP reserves the right to remove any of your contributions if AOP believes that they do not comply with the Terms.

11. You confirm that any user comments or contribution to the site is your own original work, is not defamatory or unlawful and does not infringe anyone else’s rights (including privacy rights) and that it complies with the Terms.

12. AOP reserves the right, at its sole discretion to change the terms and conditions by posting changes online. Any subsequent use of the Website is deemed to amount to acceptance of those revised terms and conditions.

13. The above terms of use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the parties agree to irrevocably shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Registration to members only area

Access for employees of AOP member companies (including associate members) to the AOP members’ area is controlled by username and password. We allow you to access the members’ area of the site on the basis that:

1. Your username and password are personal to you and shall not be used by anyone else to access the AOP members’ area;

2. You provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as requested by AOP in the registration form;

3. You do not do anything that would assist anyone who is not an AOP member to gain access to the AOP members’ area or any documents contained therein;

4. You do not maliciously create additional registration accounts for the purpose of abusing the functionality of the site, or other users; nor do you seek to pass yourself off as another user;

5. You have read and understood the Website Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

Termination of registration to members only area

AOP reserves the right to cancel your registration to the site and/or refuse you access to the secure pages. AOP shall not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever arising from your inability to access any pages on the site.

Cookies

1. The Website will give the user, on sign-in, the option to be remembered automatically. If this option is selected, a cookie (a small piece of computer code) is sent to and stored on your computer containing a unique session identifier. The identifier is used to record site usage statistics. AOP does not recommend that the option to accept the cookie is taken if the computer is shared.

2. In a separate automatic operation the webserver will collect your IP address and details of the Website where you came from before entering the AOP Website. This information is used to:

i) Work out how many times the Website has been visited;

ii) Record which parts of the Website have been visited so we can improve the content and layout of the Website.

Paragraphs 2 i) and ii) apply to all visitors on the Website whether or not they have registered. The information collected is not linked to you as an individual unless you choose to register.

Cookies stored on your computer will automatically be deleted if you do not revisit the Website for 90 days.

Personal data

If you submit your details to AOP via this site, we may write to/email you about other AOP events and information, or pass your name and address to other reputable companies whose products and services may be of interest to you or your company. On each form where personal or work details are submitted, and on each subsequent email communication, a facility to unsubscribe is offered, which we will action as soon as is reasonably practicable. Delegates booking or attending an Association of Online Publishers event consent to their name and company name appearing on a delegate list, which may be given to all those attending such event.
