Yara is head of social media and video at Reach, covering the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Daily Star and OK! Magazine and overseeing a department of 45 editors. She started at Reach six years ago as Head of Social Media for the Mirror and over the years has been promoted to oversee more titles and more recently, taken on video too. Prior to joining the Mirror, Yara worked in social media at the Mail Online and at Hello Magazine. Having worked in social media for over a decade she's seen the highs (the time her team live streamed a lettuce to see if it would outlast Liz Truss) and the lows (Facebook deciding it no longer cares about news content).
