Sipho Kings is the Publisher of the weekly African newspaper The Continent, which he helped found and where he is also a Director. He previously news edited and then ran the Mail & Guardian newspaper in South Africa. His background is in investigative environment and climate reporting. This work won him more than a dozen awards and saw him selected for the 2018 cohort of Harvard's Nieman journalism fellowship. He is on the Advisory Board of the Oxford Climate Journalism Network at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. While he still reports, his focus now is on creating sustainable spaces for journalists to do quality journalism.
