LONDON 8h September, 2016 – SpotX, the video inventory platform for publishers, is continuing to grow its operations in the UK and Southern Europe with the appointment of Sam Wilson as Director, Business Development. Joining from Brightcove, Wilson will be responsible for enhancing SpotX’s OTT monetisation offering for publishers and broadcasters seeking to benefit from the growth of programmatic advertising. This will include private marketplaces and Curated Marketplaces for video and mobile video advertising, as well strategies for connected TV and linear TV revenue.

The appointment follows other recent hires for SpotX including Edward Wale as Director, Platform Services, who joined from Videology, and Alia Cherif joining from Criteo as well as Julian Strutt and Robert Greaves from Brightroll.
Wilson spent three years at Brightcove as Director of Media Business Development, following the acquisition of Unicorn Media, servicing companies including Vice Media and Nation Media, as well as orchestrating large RFP processes for BT and Sky. Prior to this Wilson helped establish the London office for cross platform mobile company, July Systems working with ESPN, Unilever, CBS and CNN. He was the first European employee for Kaltura where he focused on clients such as Disney, Magix and ITV. He began his career at Limelight networks.
