This year we are changing the way we structure our activities to enable us to more actively support our members in solving the problems they face, through collective action. To achieve this we have created campaigns and explorations which will run throughout 2017 and will focus on key industry subjects.
The objective of campaigns is to solve an industry wide problem that our members face. We campaign to devise a solution and involve all the relevant industry stakeholders to make it happen.
We have made ad blocking one of our three core campaigns for 2017 because it is one of the biggest threats to our members’ business success. We will be hosting an ad blocking workshop, forum and finally a discussion at Inside Out, our annual convention, to devise a clear action plan and solve ad blocking.
Why you should be involved
The AOP is a community of Premium Publishers acting together to collectively solve issues they cannot solve alone. Ad blocking will only see progress if our publisher members are fully engaged in finding a solution.
You need to attend our ad blocking campaign events to discover how others are addressing ad blocking, to ensure your experiences and interests are included and finally, to help drive the campaign in the right direction towards a clear action. Be there to be part of the solution.
The ad blocking workshop is exclusively for members and by invite only. The objective is to create a clear action plan for the AOP Ad Blocking Campaign by bringing together our most expert members to create a collective and fully informed plan.
AdBlocking continues to grow creating a major problem for the industry, publishers are losing revenues and advertisers are losing audience reach but our Members are fighting the threat collectively and successfully.
