How to use the Member Resource Area

What is the Member Resource Area?

We have launched a new resource hub exclusively for all AOP members. The Resource Area is part of the main AOP website and hosts a broad variety of tools, resources, information and guidance designed to support you in your day to day jobs and to keep you up to date with the fast-paced digital industry.

Who is the Member Resource Area for?

The Member Resource Area has been designed to be accessible, relevant and valuable to all members of staff across all of our publisher member organisations. To this end we have included a variety of resources of different lengths and formats, from short podcast interviews, to legal documentation templates. You will find a variety of more foundational or junior-level content, such as a media industry glossary, through to more complex coverage of key industry topics or tools, such legal guidance for the GDPR.

How do I access the Member Resource Area?

The Member Resource Area can be found directly here: www.ukaop.org/member-resources or you can find it in the main toolbar and homepage on the AOP website.

To access any of the resources you will need to be logged in to the AOP website. If you don’t already have a login, you can set one up quickly and for free here: www.ukaop.org/registration. You will need to select your membership type (either publisher or associate). Once you have registered you will be able to log in to the main site and you will have access to any walled member-only sections.

How do I navigate the Member Resource Area?

The Member Resource Area has been segmented into eight key categories including: AOP & Media Industry, Ad Operations, Audience Development, Commercial, Editorial, HR & Legal, Product and Research. You will find a description at the top of each section to give you more information. Each section will cover a number of related industry topics, and where there are areas of overlap resources will be displayed in more than one section. You will also be able to use our comprehensive search bar if you want to find a specific subject.

How will I find new content?

Once you have registered on the AOP website you will automatically be signed up to the AOP’s weekly newsletter, the Digital Digest. This gets sent out every Friday and will highlight the latest content and resources. Additionally, the most recent content will appear at the top of each section, so if you access the Member Resource Area at any time you will always find any new content at the top.

If you have any feedback, suggestions or questions regarding the Member Resource Area, please contact: Isabelle.kerr@ukaop.org.
