CRUNCH 03: GDPR and Beyond
Our GDPR event explored the Premium Publisher approach to GDPR Compliance. It outlined the implications for the industry and provided an early framing of the upcoming ePrivacy Directive challenge.
Since May last year the AOP GDPR Working Group, comprising the leading GDPR experts at each of our Publisher Members, helmed by Nick Stringer and with the guidance of Lewis Silkin, has been creating a definitive, practical and unique GDPR resource for premium publishers.
So, in a world where everyone is talking about GDPR, we are bringing the expert team together to allow you to see inside the use cases, data purposes and legal bases that make up our AOP Data Use Matrix and Good Practice Guidance that represent a guide to your GDPR policies and actions now and future. GDPR leaders will be there to answer your questions and inspect last minute opportunities.
The rest of the publishing world will be there to see into the details of how GDPR applies to Premium Publishers and to understand the big themes of this resource created by and for Premium Publishers through extensive shared efforts and expertise.
But there is more. GDPR is just the first wave of legislation designed to create a greater focus on personal data, the ePrivacy Directive is fast approaching. Publishers are still finalising their GDPR compliance but now also need to look forward to the implications of the new ePrivacy Directive.
