  • UK ad spend set to break £20bn mark for first time (WARC, February 2016)

- Internet (including mobile) adspend grew 13.2% in Q3 to reach £2,042m according to Warc estimates (WARC, February 2016)

- Mobile grew 40.2% to reach £593m. Internet advertising is estimated to have grown 13.5% in 2015, with mobile growing at 45.2%. Growth of 11.3% and 35.3% respectively is forecast for 2016 (WARC, February 2016)

  • The adoption of programmatic video ads…is starting to explode. Programmatic digital video ad spending made up 39% of total U.S. digital video ad spend last year amounting to $2.91 billion according to eMarketer…an increase of 363%! (eMarketer, February 2016)
  • News and Media grew 3% month on month to now account for just under 11% of traffic share, closing the gap on top placed Social Networking and Forums (11.3%) (Hitwise, February 2016)
  • Instant Articles - From April Facebook will move the offering from a selected publisher partners only to the whole market (eConsultancy, Feb’15)
  • 79% of Brits would uninstall ad blockers given more choice over ads (eConsultancy, Feb ‘15)
