Highlights for January;

  • Internet marketing grew 6.9% in Q4 2015 (Bellwether, January 2015)
  • In 2016, digital display ad spending will eclipse search ad spending in the US for the first time (eConsultancy, January 2015)
  • Multi-Platform users generate 73bn views, or 62% more, spend 2 days per month more online and consume more than twice as many pages as PC only users (comScore, December 2015)
  • The close of 2015 was static for both News & Media (+0.13%) and Print (+0.14%) in terms of month on month traffic share, however on a year on year basis both these sectors experienced very strong growth, News & Media +19% and Print +21% (Hitwise, Experian, January 2016)
  • Ad blocking software usage grew 41% year-on-year from Q2 2014 to Q2 2015 (eConsultancy, January 2016)
  • Brands prefer Facebook native videos - Facebook native videos achieve higher organic reach than YouTube (eMarketer, January 2016)
